Galeri Kita is a galeri (gallery) for the people of West Java / Indonesia.
I am from the United States, and have seen few art institutions in the world that are more impressive than this gallery.
The work they show is exceptional and varied - and always related to an aspect of Indonesian society (contemporary and traditional) - a rarity.
Any visit to Indonesia will be lacking without a visit to Galeri Kita - especially if you do not talk with the people and artists associaited with Galeri Kita.
They are intelligent and well-informed, as well as being able to speak English (and many other languages) fluently.
