Banceuy prison was developed in 1870. In 1983 this prison move to Jalan Soekarno Hatta and replace as shopping complex.
The monumnet is remainder of Banceuy prison where Indonesia's freedom fighter Soekarno (and later first president), Gatot Mangkupraja, Maskun and Soepriadinata was once jailed.
The monument is sinks between store/office building, no guard, and no information sign. Many people don’t know about Banceuy prison monument existence.
